Unique Characteristics

The Art in Society (AIS) program recognizes that art can have an impact that transcends individual, isolated achievements. AIS encourages students to explore how creative impulses can be satisfied through healthy human connections, effectively empowering young citizen-artists. The Arts Enterprise Laboratory funds masterclasses taught by distinguished visiting artists, resident teaching internships for rising artists who have recently graduated from colleges or conservatories, and special arts projects created by Idyllwild Arts Academy students.
